Sub-hourly (15 minute resolution) Historical Weather Data, and Updated Climate Normals!
We are excited to announce the release of the Sub-Hourly Historical Weather API! This API allows for retrieval of historical weather data at a temporal resolution of 15 minutes. It incorporates additional sub-hourly station data, radar, and satellite data in order to support an enhanced temporal resolution of 15 minute time-steps. With this API, users are able to more accurately analyze short term changes in weather conditions.
ERA-5 2020 Normals (averages) are now available from our Climate Normals API. Additionally, our users can now select either the 2010 Normals (1981-2010) or the 2020 (1991-2020) Normals from our API with the series_year
parameter. This functionality allows users to compare how average weather conditions have changed over the years for any location in the world.
&series_year=2010 // Get normals for the 1981-2010 period
&series_year=2020 // Get normals for the 1991-2020 period
We hope that you find these API updates useful in your business, and personal applications. Please contact support@weatherbit.io for any questions or feedback. We would love to hear any feedback you have, or any improvements you have to suggest!
Thank you,
The Weatherbit API Team
